Freddie McAlpine

Following the Interim Exhibition earlier on in the year, Freddie’s work suggests the topic he is pursuing is not that of beauty and elegance but that of pain and brutality. From a very young age the mind is challenged persistently when training at professional level. Through past experiences he channels that element of the torturous repetition the artist had to bear to create the elegant image stereotypically represented. Through true empathy Freddie is showing his past psychological traumas through the medium of ballet, a darker side of this art form shown through a combination of video, photography and sculpture.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Other Artists”][/vc_column][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vcex_portfolio_grid columns=”6″ columns_gap=”5″ equal_heights_grid=”true” posts_per_page=”60″ img_size=”medium” overlay_style=”title-category-hover” title=”false” excerpt=”false” read_more=”false”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
