Ginny Parry

Ginny Parry’s practice revolves around a plot of woodland near her family home in Blanchland, County Durham. Inspired by site specificity and the use of alternate art materials Ginny produces work both inside the woodland and within her studio using the natural materials she collects from the site. Through the making of her work she strives to reveal the hidden beauty of the alternative materials she uses, highlighting aspects such as colour and texture. Ginny amplifies the materials usually unappreciated qualities with the intention to overwhelm the viewer not only through the realisation of each materials beauty and intricacy, but also through using these to create an overriding multi sensual sense of the place from which the materials originated.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Other Artists”][/vc_column][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vcex_portfolio_grid columns=”6″ columns_gap=”5″ equal_heights_grid=”true” posts_per_page=”60″ img_size=”medium” overlay_style=”title-category-hover” title=”false” excerpt=”false” read_more=”false”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
